Pirates Win Sectional Semi-Final Opener for 6th Season Straight defeating Beachwood 25-14, 25-15, 25-18. Leading the Pirates were the senior core of Paige Lutz, Frances Radway, Romi Smith, and Kayla Gardner. Lutz had 7 kills, 4 blocks, 4 points, Radway had 6 kills, 6 points, Smith had 15 points, and Gardner had 4 digs. Morgan Young had 9 digs, 6 kills, 2 blocks, and 8 points, 3 aces. Erica Benson had 20 assists, 9 points, 2 aces, and 7 digs. Rounding out the leaders was Megan Owen with 2 kills and 2 assists. The Pirates (12-11, 6-10 PAC) travel to Elyria for Sectional Final play against #13 state ranked Independence at 7:30pm.
